Reconnect to your backup
Make sure your destination is available. On a new Windows installation, connect the existing vault using its storage credentials and encryption password. Do not create a new vault over the existing one.
Choose the right moment
Open the source’s backup history and pick a version from before the change you want to undo. You can compare two backups to inspect added, changed and deleted paths, along with available size and modification metadata.
The Activity calendar shows retained backup history. It is not a complete log of every failed or canceled attempt, and versions removed by retention won’t remain available to restore.
Restore into a fresh destination
Select the file, items or folder to restore. Prefer a new, empty destination so you can check the result before replacing a working copy. Review conflict options carefully when restoring into an existing folder.
Wait for the final result. Completed, partial, failed and canceled operations mean different things. Review any skipped files or errors, and open the restored files to confirm what you recovered.
If something is unavailable
Reconnect an external drive or network share, check your storage credentials, and retry. Keep the original backup repository intact while investigating. Contact support with the error message, but never send passwords or provider secret keys.
